Bridges On The Wear

WATERSIDE HOUSE FOOTBRIDGE AND STEPPING STONES

A modern footbridge near an old ford. It is slightly arched and is situated a few hundred yards west of Westgate. There are stepping stones to the east of the bridge which is passed on the Weardale Way, although the walk does not cross the river. The footbridge gives access to a minor road on the south side of the Wear.
