PRINCESS OF WALES BRIDGE


Sometimes called the Diana bridge this bridge provides a link between the reclaimed industrial areas of Thornaby and Stockton and was opened in 1992. Teesside Development Corporation were respons-ible for commissioning the Princess Of Wales bridge and it was built by Tarmac Construction at a cost of £3M. The central span is 40 metres with 30 metre side spans.

It is an attractive bridge situated not far from Stockton's main shopping area and Durham University's Queen's Campus (Stockton) on the other side.
