This is a bridge near Eaglescliffe carrying two 33 inch waterpipes supplying Teesside over a pre-stressed concrete arched bridge. It was erected in 1959 and a third pipe was added in 1979, allowing another much older pipe bridge nearby, also carrying water, to be demolished.
The pipe bridge has a 61 metre span and is located amid rolling farmland with the village of Ingleby Barwick near its south bank, and it is reached by a footpath from Preston Farm on the north side. There is no public access over the bridge.
