MORPETH EAST FOOTBRIDGE

This footbridge is located to the north east of the town and just south of the A197 road where it begins to climb away from the river. It links footpaths from Morpeth and Bothal and also one leading down to the south bank of the river from the A196. It is fairly wide and has a wooden deck. The river bank is wooded on each side and a few hundred yards upstream is a weir.
