Bridges On The Tweed

LYNE FOOTBRIDGE

At the end of a minor road off the A72 about 2 miles west of Peebles this bridge crosses at a fairly wide point on the Tweed and is at the site of a former ford. a path climbs away up the bank at the south side. Nearby, the road passes under an arch of the former Peebles - Biggar - Symington railway and a station once existed there.

Lyne is a small parish on the north bank of the Lyne Water.
