Bridges On The Tweed

BERWICK A1 BRIDGE

This, the newest of Berwick's bridges, carries the A1 road over the Tweed on the by-pass. Officially the A1 River Tweed Bridge it lies about a mile west of Berwick and is a single carriageway bridge crossing at a fairly low level. Views of the Tweed are obtainable from the bridge and riverbank footpaths exist on either side, leading back to Berwick and Tweedmouth.
