LOW PEEL BRIDGE

The first attempt at a bridge here, also by John Smith, collapsed during construction. This bridge is located off the A707 road and gives access to Ashiesteel after which it is sometimes called, along a minor road. The span is 40 metres and it was repaired and strengthend in 1952. It is category A Listed.
