Bridges On The Blyth

BLYTH BRIDGE EAST FOOTBRIDGE

A narrow 18 foot long footbridge on a footpath off the Belsay to Bolam road and to the east of Blyth Bridge East, this is also the site of a ford. The river is very narrow hereabouts. There is a barrier to prevent farm animal movement along the river. Amidst farmland, the footpath links Belsay with Bolam going north across several fields. The timber deck was replaced in 1975.
