Bridges On The Aln

WOODEN FOOTBRIDGE

A wooden footbridge made of planks fastened to two long tree trunks stretched over the river, this is a rather primitive bridge. It has no rails. It is set among the wooded banks of the Aln near the Catheugh Drive or track leading to the most western part of Hulne Park. At the south side a kind of wooden ladder extends up the river bank.
