Bridges On The Wansbeck

MIDDLETON BRIDGE

On a minor road going from Belsay to the B6343 and Scots Gap this bridge is of steel with attractive stone parapets and abutments. Lying amid grassland where cattle graze it is a low bridge and the road rises gently on either side, dead straight for over a mile to the northward.
